Seven Days While My Wife Was Away--Day Two

When my loved one is away, my schedule opens up. I ask myself, what in hell are you going to do now? Hell, if I know, I respond. And so I talk to myself because my wife is not home to tell me what to do. I have to channel her voice to continue to function. Otherwise, I’ll remain in bed and cut cheese all day.

Keep busy. Do some chores. Like what? You know, all the things you were thinking about doing but made excuses about not having enough time. So I made a list of things to do—and told myself, Now choose!
